Dear Christian Parents,

Wow! The year is moving fast and I pray 2010 will show God’s blessings for you and your family!  I often hear high school parents talk about the busy schedules and distractions their teenagers face.  Knowing that, I’m hoping you ask and encourage them to choose events that will interest them and help keep your teen spiritually grounded.

With everyone around you tugging at your child to get involved with another group here and there, allow me to be one more tugger as you look at some worthwhile youth opportunities. . .

1) Appalachia servant-event in North Carolina, July 10-21. We go every year to pray hard, play hard, and serve in a way you will never forget.  I can only take 5 youth so turn in the provided registration form soon.  Attendance will be considered in the order forms are returned.  For online pictures check out washingfeet.org to see the great friendships and fun that will happen.

A regular local youth event to think about. . .

2) 707 Wednesday Nights  Anyone?!
St. Paul Youth Group too small?  Don’t know the other youth?  707, meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Oakpointe Church Student Center. With rockin’ music, great teaching, and crazy games, 707 is a great place to meet up.  A band kicks off the night with powerful worship and leads us into a time of practical teaching from the Bible.  Let’s get a group to go Once a Month!

3) YOUTH  HOUSE Bible Talks  on Sunday mornings at 9:45!
Starting March 7, Senior youth now have their Own Room upstairs and will have discussions on faith topics, controversial issues, and use DVD studies that will teach and offer spiritual strength and encouragement!  Students need this type growth and fellowship to prepare them for life after high school.

“What do I do next?” Well, PLEASE Email or CALL ME back to say if your child will participate in any of these events.  My home # is (248) 348-5563.  Most events are TBA if there is enough interest.  Encourage them to pick 2 or 3!

Please share ideas you have for Youth Group!  Tell me their interests and help lead some activities. God will bless every event as we commit ourselves to Him!
